Nicole Amanda Celorio Acosta is a foreign attorney from Mexico, currently based in New York City. She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Columbia Law School and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Law from Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) in Mexico City.
Nicole’s passion for international law is evident throughout her academic and professional journey. At ITESM, she excelled in international arbitration moot competitions, including the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and the Moot Mexico Arbitration Competition, earning awards for her outstanding performance.
During her LL.M. studies at Columbia Law School, Nicole was recognized as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar for superior academic achievement and received the Parker School Certificate for Achievement in International and Comparative Law. She served as a Student Editor for the American Review of International Arbitration and was actively involved in the Mexican Student Association (MEXSA).
Nicole brings extensive experience in international arbitration and litigation. She has represented national and international clients across diverse industries, including commercial real estate, technology, chemicals, construction, oil and gas, renewable energies, and telecommunications. Nicole has served as a secretary for arbitral tribunals and was appointed as a sole arbitrator, becoming one of the youngest in Mexico to hold such a position. Prior to joining Jajan & Associates in New York City, Nicole was associated with a boutique New York litigation firm, handling cases and supporting clients through all stages of litigation.
Nicole is actively involved in various professional organizations, including the Mexican Bar Association, Young Arbitrators Forum of the Mexican Arbitration Center and National Chamber of Commerce in Mexico, Institute for Transnational Arbitration, and Young OGEMID. She is fluent in Spanish, English, and French, with a basic understanding of Italian.
