Thais obtained her Bachelor of Science in Economics and Spanish from the University of Virginia and her Juris Doctor from Benjamin N Cardozo School of Law, in New York. Her practice specializes in immigration law, and she also advises corporate clients and individuals on real estate and tax matters.

Thais is admitted to the New York Bar and is admitted to practice in Federal Court in the Southern District of New York and Eastern District of New York.

She is fluent in Portuguese (native), Spanish, and English.
